The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450 is difficult to maintain. Many tools will be needed to remove both of the engine air filters, which will be tedious and won’t allow for reliable filter changes. The cabin air filter will also be problematic to replace, as you must first pry out the entire glove box housing in order to reach it. The passenger seat must be moved before you can access the battery, which will make for tricky and convoluted access.
However, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450 has its upsides. The brake light is relatively quick to access behind a panel in the trunk, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Checking the brake fluid won’t be a problem as the reservoir is somewhat easy to reach underneath a cover in the engine bay. The spare tire and jack kit are packaged together, which will allow for quick access in the event of a flat.
