The 2012 Mazda 2 Touring is very easy to maintain. Many of the headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the housing and removing their respective covers, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Monitoring the transmission fluid won’t be a problem as the dipstick is quick to find and has unobstructed access. The battery will also be easy to jumpstart or change given the open access to the terminals and the bracket.

However, the 2012 Mazda 2 Touring does have a few downsides. A panel will need to be disengaged and pried down from underneath the vehicle to access the fog lights, which won’t make for reliable bulb changes. Meanwhile, the entire bulb housing will need to be removed to change any of the tail lights, which can be a tedious procedure. Changing the cabin air filter may also be a problem given the cramped position you’ll have to work in.
