The 2012 Kia Sportage EX is a moderately easy car to maintain due to its generally straightforward procedures. Though a couple may require the help of a wrench, all of the headlights can be removed by simply reaching behind the bulb housing. The battery is easy to find and its bracket is no problem to access. The engine air filter doesn’t require any tools to remove, and its housing lifts up with reliability.
Yet the 2012 Kia Sportage EX does have a few downsides. Accessing the tail lights can be rather tedious, as they require the removal of their bulb housing which itself requires some extra tools. The jack may be tightly secured to the bottom of the trunk, and removing it could be strenuous. The cabin air filter is hidden behind the glove box, and multiple parts will need to be removed in order to access it.
