The 2009 Scion tC is a moderately easy vehicle to maintain, and a good choice for any vehicle owner. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Changing the headlight with reliability is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access. There is an easy to remove access panel in the rear of the vehicle for access to the tail light bulbs. Other models will require you to remove this housing.
Some things are problematic on the 2009 Scion tC. You will have to lower the glove box for access to the cabin air filter. This would have been easier if there were an access panel in the rear of the glove box instead. The interior fuse box can be tough to access, as you will have to work in a cramped space under the steering wheel. You may have to use a tool in order to access the front turn signal bulb. Other models do not require the use of tools.
