The 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD SLE is a difficult vehicle to maintain. The entire bulb housing, a large panel, and a portion of the bumper must be removed to access the headlights, which won’t make for reliable bulb changes. Replacing the battery will be a hassle on account of the multiple sway bars and long reaches you’ll have to make to disconnect it. Fixing a flat tire could be a problem if the spare becomes inaccessible by rusting to the storage space underneath the vehicle.
However, the 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD SLE has its upsides. The fog light is easy to access by simply reaching behind the front bumper, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Checking the brake fluid won’t be a problem given the overall unobstructed access to the reservoir. Both of the fuse boxes are easy to reach and one conveniently comes provided with a fuse puller.
