The 2009 GMC Envoy SLE is a moderately easy car to maintain, with a few aspects that shouldn’t be a problem for the experienced car owner. Checking the oil level is no problem, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Both the front and rear wiper blades are easy to replace on this car. Other models will require you to use tools to replace your blades, so it’s a nice touch to be able to do this with just your hands.
Some things are tougher to maintain on the 2009 GMC Envoy SLE. To drain the oil, you will have to remove a large panel. This will require the removal of a few bolts, and will require you to crawl underneath the vehicle for access. In order to access the spare tire, you will have to lower it from beneath the vehicle first. This can be tough, as the lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time.
