The 2008 Nissan Rogue SL is relatively easy to maintain. The battery has very open access to both the terminals and the bracket, which should make replacing it a very simple procedure. Checking the transmission fluid isn’t a problem given the ease of access to the dipstick. The engine air filter slides out of the vehicle with very little hassle, allowing you to change the filter with reliability.
However, the 2008 Nissan Rogue SL has some challenging lights procedures. The headlights will require the removal of the air filter intake vent and/or the windshield washer fluid reservoir, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Accessing the fog lights may be a problem given the panels covering them underneath the vehicle and the limited visibility provided. The reverse light will be tedious to remove given the multiple fastener removals and amount of force needed to disengage it from the hatch door.
