In order to access the headlight with reliability, you will have to reach through the wheel well lining. This can be a problem, as the lining can grow rigid and tight to the vehicle over time. Checking the engine coolant fluid level is tough, as the reservoir is located in a not overly visible spot in the engine bay. You will need to use a few tools in order to access the fog light on this vehicle. Other models make this access much easier.
Some things are easier to maintain on the 2008 Honda Fit. The engine air filter is easy to access, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. Replacing the tail light is easy to do, as there is a designated panel in the rear of the vehicle for access to the bulb. Other models make this access much more complicated. Both the engine and interior fuse boxes are easily accessible on this vehicle. You only have to remove one cover to access either set of fuses.
