The 2006 Mazda MPV LX is relatively easy to maintain. The engine coolant reservoir has unobstructed access, allowing you to monitor the fluid level with reliability. Checking the transmission fluid levels won’t be a problem, either, as you won’t have to make a long reach to remove the dipstick. The battery has open access that will allow for hassle-free jumpstarts and replacements.
However, the 2006 Mazda MPV LX has its fair share of downsides. The entire bulb housing will need to be removed for access to the tail lights, which can be time-consuming and not allow for reliable bulb changes. Some of the headlights also have problematic access as the wheel well lining will need to be disengaged and pried back first. The spare tire will need to be lowered from underneath the vehicle, but this could be troublesome if it ends up rusting to the undercarriage.
