The 2004 Hyundai Sonata is a very easy vehicle to maintain. Some of the headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the bulb housing, which will allow for fairly reliable bulb changes. Accessing the tail lights shouldn’t be a problem, as they’re all located behind a single panel that removes with just a Phillips head screwdriver. The engine air filter is easy to change as the housing can be disengaged with ease.
However, the 2004 Hyundai Sonata does have a few downsides. The fog light, parking light, and front turn signal will need the entire bulb housing to be removed for access, which will require tools and won’t make for reliable changes. Reaching the cabin air filter may be a problem on account of the multiple fasteners and panels that will have to be removed first. The battery bracket is also difficult to reach on account of the deep placement.
