The 2003 Toyota Camry XLE is a moderately difficult car to maintain when compared to other similar models, but shouldn’t be much of a problem for someone experienced in car maintenance. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy, as the fluid dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Newer models do not include this dipstick. Replacing the headlight is easy to do, as you only have to reach behind the bulb housing for access to the bulb. The tail light bulbs are easy to access on this vehicle, as there is a designated panel in the rear of the vehicle which will allow for a lot of reliability when accessing them.
As stated above, there are some problems when repairing the 2003 Toyota Camry XLE. To change the fog light bulb, you will have to reach through the wheel well lining for access. This can be tough, as the lining can grow tight to the vehicle and be tough to peel back. Changing the center brake light can also be tough, as you will need to pry up the bulb housing for access. This is located in a cramped space in the rear of the cab, making it tough to complete. You will have to disconnect the dampening arm, and lower the glove box, in order to access the cabin air filter. This would have been much easier if there were a designated panel in the rear of the glove box for access.
