The 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora is a relatively easy car to maintain but it does have a few tricky set-ups. The engine air filter is tightly wedged into the engine bay and will require a lot of parts to be disconnected for reliable access the filter. The entire filter housing will need to be removed to access the headlight on that side, and other headlights require the wheel well lining to be pulled back in order to reach them. The petcock is located behind a large panel beneath the vehicle, which is a problem to navigate.
However, there are some perks to the 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora. Despite being in an unusual location, the battery can be easily removed if necessary. This vehicle also comes with a transmission fluid reservoir with a dipstick that’s no problem to remove and read. Also, the center brake lights can be easily accessed towards the top of the trunk.
